서대구의 대표 관광지인 디아크~ 달성습지~사문진을 연결하며 생태체험 및 문화관광코스를 완성하는 관광보행교 계획으로서, 주변의 건강한 자연환경과 디아크(물문화관)와 조화로운 디자인을 목표로 한다.
The ARC(Architecture of River Culture)의 ARC(호)의 의미와 같이 반지름 210m의 두개의 호를 적용한 곡선 평면으로 구성된 낮은 라이즈비의 아치교로 디자인 하였다. 관광적 성격의 강화를 위하여 낙하분수 및 휴식, 전망등 다양한 프로그램을 담은 공간을 계획하였다.
디아크와의 조화
• 디자인 모티브 연계 > 곡선적, 간결한 디자인 / 물수제비 스토리 반영
• 디아크 랜드마크성 훼손 방지 > 디아크 보다 낮은 높이의 보행교 계획
• 디아크 광장과의 조화 > 디아크광장 평면 디자인을 보행교에 확장

This pedestrian bridge design aims to complete an ecological and cultural tourism course by connecting three representative tourist attractions in west Daegu: 'The ARC(Architecture of River Culture)', Dalseong Wetlands, and Samunjin, while harmonizing with the healthy natural environment surrounding the area and 'The ARC'. Designed with two low-rise arches with a curved plane that applies two arcs with a radius of 210m, reflecting the meaning of ARC, this bridge has several spaces with various programs as well such as waterfalls, rest areas, and observation decks to enhance its tourism appeal.
For harmony with The Arc :
• The design motif of 'The ARC': curve, simplicity & skimming stone
• Plan for the bridge lower than 'The ARC
• Extend the 2D design of The ARC Square to the pedestrian bridge
