전주시 전통한옥마을의 주 진입교량으로, 전체적으로 홍예교가 주는 부드러운 곡선의 아름다움과 누각의 단정하고 세련된 아름다움을 조화시키고자 하였으며, 누각의 규모를 9칸으로 하여 위용있는 모습으로 전통성을 부여함. 국내의 전통교량 사례와 옛 문헌을 검토하여 지역의 현황에 맞게 설계.

The goal of this project lay in restoring Namcheon Bridge, which was the entry to Hanok (the traditional Korea-style house) Village in Jeonju, into a conventional arch-bridge to set it as a landmark of the area. Set to be a cultural space primarily for the walkers, which enables tourism and economic growth of the locals.
