여수시와 고흥군을 연결하는 노선의 교량들이 뛰어난 관광자원이 될 수 있도록 경관적, 기술적으로 적정한 교량형식선정을 위한 마스터플랜 현상공모이다. 가막만과 여자만으로 구분되는 이 지역에서 각각의 영역이 갖는 자연 경관의 차별성을 더욱 강조할 수 있는 교량형식의 배치 및 또한 같은 영역 내에서 교량간의 다양한 변화를 꾀함. 큰 섬들로 이루어져 웅대한 이미지가 느껴지는 가막만 일대에는 직선적이고 남성적 이미지의 사장교 형식을 위주로 한 교량형식 적용, 아담한 규모의 섬들이 옹기종기 모여 있는 여자만 일대에는 부드러운 곡선의 아치교 위주의 교량형식 적용.

Blue Necklace & Ocean Avenue - Diversity in Unity

This is the project to decide the bridge types for 11 bridges on the route which links Yeosu and Goheung together as a part of South Coast Tourism. We emphasized the big difference between the two gulf areas' landscapes, and give diversity in each area. The Gamakman area consists of large islands, a heroic image. so we applied a large-scale cable bridge with a straight shape in this area. Whereas the Yeojaman area made up of several small islands has a soft landscape, so we applied arch bridges with smooth curves.
